Práticas discursivas de professores de Matemática na condução de discussões coletivas

Resumo

As discussões coletivas são uma ferramenta ao alcance do professor para promover a comunicação na aula de Matemática, na medida em que os alunos são chamados a apresentar as suas estratégias de resolução e a compará-las com as dos colegas, a justificar e argumentar sobre os raciocínios mobilizados nessas resoluções de uma tarefa proposta pelo professor. Quando o discurso da aula se centra em ideias algébricas, a simbolização e a generalização são potenciadas, já que os alunos são incentivados ao uso de uma linguagem cada vez mais formal e à ampliação dos seus raciocínios para além dos casos considerados. Com este estudo, qualitativo e interpretativo, procura-se compreender como três professores de Matemática do 3.º ciclo do ensino básico gerem e promovem o discurso na aula durante a discussão coletiva de tarefas matemáticas visando o ensino da Álgebra. Os resultados mostram que os professores, apoiados em ações de ensino de elicitar, apoiar, informar e desafiar, encaminham o discurso por um processo cíclico de solicitação e discussão de muitas ideias e de filtragem, procurando levar os alunos a relacionar, generalizar e justificar ideias algébricas.
