This paper presents the findings of the analysis of the texts of Gabriel Ciscar y Ciscar and José Mariano Vallejo y Ortega, two mathematicians pioneers in the dissemination and teaching of the Metric System in Spain in the nineteenth century. This study focuses on identifying the conceptual structure, representations and situations, expected goals and tasks used in the presentation of this system.
