The purpose of this study is to ponder over the opportunities of teacher learning generated in an environment of collaborative work to discuss about mathematical modeling and Statistics Education. Mathematical modeling is considered as a pedagogical perspective and it is sought to answer the question: how do the actions experienced in a training process on mathematical modeling and Statistical Education favor teacher learning? It is a qualitative research, in which it has taken for analysis and reflection the involvement of some teachers Statistical Education in Basic Education. The results reaffirm the potentiality of the actions proposed in the literature to provide conditions for teacher learning when the training process is guided by the interests of teachers. However, the relevance of a space of development with a collaborative characteristic is evidenced so that they are actually involved in the process.
